Kitten is two.
Kitten is unhappy.
Scratch that.
Happy.
Oh, wait.
Crabby.
Ugh! I just don't know.
I mean basically a normal two year old.
And she wants to do everything her big sister can do. Things like go to school, do homework, wear glasses (I didn't say my kids were normal!), go to the eye doctor and play with sister's "special toys."
She however, wants nothing to do with big girl undies or potty training.
And that is fine.
Except that normally Auntie A takes care of her during the week and on some weekends and Kitten has no problem peeing for her.
And really this whole story has nothing to do about potty training. It just ends with Kitten's exclamation, "I'm scared of the potty!"
(She's not, unless of course you believe she's scared of toys, candy, and television...)
So the story, at long last...
We were off this morning to take Cub to school, and sidenote, first time since Monday it's been kind of warm, which meant I could still see my breathe, but my bones weren't cold...yet. So Kitten is actually willingly going outside today. YAY! But she had somehow convinced herself that she too would be attending school, so she grabbed her Dora Backpack.
So I tell her she is still too little for school and that we are just dropping sister off. Of course, Cub being the overly sensible one, chimes in and tells her that she can't go to school cause she still wears baby diapers.
Yeah. Thanks for that.
And we drop Cub off at school.
Kitten does not want to go home. And so she proclaims, "I DON'T WANT GO HOME!!" She crosses her arms, puts her head down and sticks out her bottoms lip so far, well, I'm sorry if any of you tripped on it this morning.
And so we get back to home, and Kitten again proclaims, "I DON'T WANT GO HOME!!"
I explain to her that we are home and we don't have any place to go. And also, "Honey, you're too little to go school. Next year, though, if you pee on potty you can go to school."
Yeah. Not my best statement.
And she is a puddle on the floor of the car.
I meanwhile am holding my purse and her Dora backpack AND trying to scoop up this incredible, screaming, moving puddle of a child from the floor of my car.
"I DON'T WANT GO HOME!!"
Finally, I grab her and carry her screaming into the house. Apparently, she thought I was going to bring her to the potty.
"I'M SCARED OF THE POTTY!!"
Did I mention the baby did not sleep through the night last night?

Yes, my life is full of scenes like this. Hope you get some sleep soon!
