With the first week of summer school down one thing is clear. Waking up early is kicking Cub's butt! I thought it was going to be me...I am the one that has instituted the infamous 8 o'clock rule (no bothering mom before that magic hour). But I've been the one getting up, going on my run and slowly coaxing Cub out if bed at 7am to get ready for school. Shocking?! Well, yes. Cub is that kid...you know the one that gets up before the sun so happy to see you. It makes me want to crawl back under the covers...just to scream. But since summer school started...I've been gently prodding her out of her winsome sleep. Easing her into the morning and hurrying her up so she won't miss the bus. She gets up at 7 am for her 7:55am bus. When the school year starts we have to catch the bus at 7:18. She'll have to be up by 6:30. I don't know if I have the patience or the stamina for it! And to make matters worse, the baby, my little Kitten...she has to get up with us to make the sojourn to the bus stop. She's pretty hard core about sleeping in until at least 8am. I am so MANY shades of screwed! Sent from my iPhone
The first week is always the hardest, then it gets better. Promise!! And Kitten just might lose interest soon, maybe.
When school gets closer, start getting her up at 6:30, for like two weeks. It is harder for you, but will be a wonderful help once school actually starts.
